Lactation Support

At Eaton & Australind Medical Centre, lactation support is an essential component of our comprehensive maternal and child healthcare services. Recognising the challenges that new mothers may face during the breastfeeding journey, we are dedicated to providing empathetic and informed support to ensure both mother and baby achieve a successful breastfeeding experience. Our midwives are professionals who understand the complexities of breastfeeding, including common problems like latching difficulties, milk supply issues, and sore nipples. They work closely with new mothers, offering personalised advice, demonstrating techniques for effective breastfeeding, and providing emotional support during this beautiful yet sometimes challenging phase.

Our approach to lactation support is rooted in the belief that breastfeeding is not only a natural process but also a learned skill that can require guidance and support. We aim to create a welcoming and supportive environment where mothers feel comfortable discussing their breastfeeding concerns without judgment. Our midwives are equipped with the latest knowledge and techniques to address a wide range of breastfeeding issues, ensuring that each mother’s unique needs are met. From the first latch to weaning, we are here to support our patients through their entire breastfeeding journey, offering advice on everything from breastfeeding positions to managing breastfeeding while returning to work.
